Trent thatched the front yard and needed help raking up all the dead grass.  Evan kept saying that it looked like cow heaven in our yard and that we should take all of the raked up clippings to a farm.

We have been waiting so long for it to be warm enough to play in the backyard.  I love to hear the laughter as they are all out there swinging together.

On Earth Day we got our first glimpse of it actually feeling like spring outside.  Hailey played in the driveway until bed time and I finally moved my pot of bulbs to the steps.  Now I am just waiting for the deer to make them their dinner.

As he inches closer and closer to being a teenager, I am always thankful that when he sleeps I still see my baby boy's face.  The Peter Pan hair and Favorite Kitty just add to my love of this shot.

The weekend in Mt. Pleasant for the state DI finals may seem like it is about the competition, but for my kids it is all about the pool and the arcade.

Cub Scout father son cake bake night.  We came home with this little gem for twenty three dollars.  I was thrilled since the last time they had the cake bake we came home with three cakes and sixty dollars less money.  Sadly, when we cut into the cake the kids discovered it was strawberry flavored and now no one wants to eat it.

Hailey had to get a tooth filled at the dentist tonight.  She had to have a mouth shot - which I agree, are the WORST.  When she got home she immediately went to her room and came down stairs in this get up and thrilled that she had finally found Baby Kitty.

Hailey started tennis lessons today.  She isn't super excited about going back next week.  I just wish one of my kids would enjoy playing a sport that I would actually like to play with them.

The first night of baseball practice.  They played for an hour and a half in the rain.  I am surprised he lasted through the whole thing.  A cold Evan is a sad Evan.

I took this while sitting at the car at the kids' school.  I was hoping it would slow down a bit so I could run in for conferences.  This has been the view pretty much all week and I know April showers bring May flowers, but it would be nice to see the sun or at least dry pavement.

Evan schooled the whole family with his picks for the NCAA tournament.  He beat all of us by at least fifty points and picked the ultimate winner.  By the way - this was the first bracket he has ever filled out.

Yet another quick geocaching trip to end Spring Break and to get the "find" total over four hundred.  I think these got us to four hundred and three.

A late day Saturday geocaching trip with the family - minus Spencer.  He claimed he was too tired from his all night movie lock in the night before.   Trent is trying to get Evan a bit more interested by letting him navigate.  He seems to enjoy it.

I found her laying on the heater vent with her pillow pet wearing her hat and reading her new iCarly book (actually looking at the middle of the book pictures).  She certainly has a style of her own.

A spring jaunt up to the cabin turned out to be a beautiful day.  The boys got to try out their Christmas bows and Hailey and I cheered them on from the lounge chairs.

Don't let the sun deceive you - it was chilly out there.  But we felt like we needed to move a lot after our long day of driving home from Wisconsin.  I am still in awe of the majesty of this lake.

Our second stop at Culvers within a five day span.  This marks Evan's fourth burger in as many days.  These stops may be also why the scale is moving in the wrong direction.

A Monday morning run to Trader Joe's to stock up on Two Buch Chuck and dark chocolate peanut butter cups.  The latter may be why my scale seems to be moving the wrong direction.
