I have been reading this aloud to the kids every night before bed. Hailey might be a little young to understand a lot of it, but Evan is mesmerized by the tales of the pioneer life. I love it.

One of my favorite things that the school does for March reading month is the One school, one book project. This year the book is The BFG and the kids are loving it. The principal requested a picture of the family reading tonight.

A not too distant future
The boys were coming up the road from the bus stop after school and Hailey ran down to meet them. They were all walking together and it hit me how next year this will be the norm. Before I could run in and grab my camera they split up and the moment was gone.

The snow keeps on coming and the kids are loving it! I have to admit when it sticks to the trees it does look really beautiful.

Extra Curricular
I rushed home from a two thirty haircut so I could get Evan from the bus and get him all dudded up for karate. I drove the twenty minutes to karate to drop him off then drove back home to get Hailey from my mom. Hailey and I drove to the school to pick up Spencer from DI then the three of us drove the twenty minutes back out to the gym to pick up Evan. I decided we would pick up take out for dinner because I didn't feel like cooking. I asked Evan where he wanted to go and he said "What about no spend January?" Sometimes I regret telling them about my brilliant ideas.

This morning...

They are not huge breakfast food fans. They come by it honest - I am not a huge breakfast food fan. Most days I eat a bowl of cereal - or a banana chocolate chip muffin with peanut butter on it if I made any. Yum.
Hailey usually tells me she wants a bowl of cereal when I am pouring mine. Then she proceeds to eat throughout the morning. I am not sure if the boys are starving by the time lunch rolls around or not. I have to think not, because most days they come home with half the lunch I packed them.
